Here and Now's film division, under the creative leadership of Aakash Prabhakar, combines theatrical sensibilities with cinematic storytelling. After enriching Mumbai's theatre scene for eight years, the studio expanded its horizons when Aakash enhanced his expertise through filmmaking studies at the New York Film Academy (NYFA), bringing fresh perspectives to the company's visual narratives.
The studio's first feature film production, "Freddie's Piano," directed by Aakash, marked a significant milestone. The film premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival and traveled to over 20 international festivals, earning multiple accolades including Best Director and Best Film awards. This success established Here and Now as a promising force in independent cinema.

Aakash Prabhakar is the founder of Here and Now theatre and a producer. Crumpled - A Compilation Of Imperfect Love Stories, his first production, did more than 25 odd, shows in different parts of the country. He has done a year long conservatory course in theatre making and acting. He has been a part of several plays Taboo Talks, Orphans, Confessions, Absolute, Marri geology, Romeo and Juliet, Crumpled, Suburban Comedy being some of them.
